I have always had an intrest in old items but I never really grasped my passion for it and took it anywhere, until the end of April 2017. I was at an aquaintence of mines house one day and he was showing me several brass pieces he had. The more I looked the more interested I became. Then, he showed me an interesting piece that was mostly brass and had a wooden handle. I told him, if he didn’t mind, that I’d like to take this piece home, to clean and polish it because it was so interesting to me. It was Interesting enough to make me want to research its history. You see, that’s what I love doing. Researching and finding out anything and everything that I could about a piece. What is it, what it was used for, how old it is, is it rare, who made it, who owned it, what is it’s value etc... Oh how I wish I could hold a piece in my hands, close my eyes and go back in time and actually follow a pieces history. Follow it from the time it was made, every set of hands that touched it, owned it, used it and follow it all the way until it reached my hands.
